Job Summary
To provide Geo-Information Services to support Statistical Production and Development for the National Statistical System.

Key Results Areas

• Data capture in the field by use of data collection equipment like GPS, CAPI, checking of Socio-economic facilities in office and field updates
• Develop and maintaining online map services infrastructure for data sharing and dissemination. Handle customized data requirement for both external and internal clients i.e. maps, charts, tables, data collection trainings and consultations
• Prepare post-enumeration maps for census/ survey reports in both digital and analogue, like census e-atlas, map books
• Prepare thematic maps for areas of statistical interest for directorates and MDAs
• Production of geo-statistical information by integrating physical and socio-economic indicators
• Training of other staff in GPS and validation of geospatial datasets Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Geo-Information Science or in any Geo-Information related or equivalent like Geography, Surveying, Geo-Information Sciences/Systems, Geomatics, Engineering, Natural Resources Management and Environmental Studies, Physics and Mathematics, Urban Planning with a bias in Geo-informatics, Information Technology

Experience

• Two years’ experience with ESRI software and hardware

Job Summary
Responsible for the production of regular statistical indicators in the fields of economic and social statistics in line with the UBOS mandate and strategic objective.

Key Results Areas
• Compile economic, social and demographic statistical indicators based on the internationally recommended principles and practices.
• Profile gaps in the existing statistical data and information with the aim of having economic and social statistics complete, identify additional data sources and recommend robust method of addressing the gaps.
• Document the metadata used in the compilation of economic and social statistical indicators from various known sources.
• Participate in data analysis, report writing and dissemination of economic and social statistics on a regular basis.
• Produce monthly and quarterly statistical reports.
• Support production of M&E indicators and follow up MDAs and HLGs in the development of logical frameworks in line with agreed standards
• Support MDAs in the application of core Monitoring & Evaluation Methods and data management tools
• Support in coordinating advocacy and outreach activities at the Bureau and develop content for the UBOS advocacy and outreach materials
• To support the field operations of the socio-economic surveys in line with corporate objectives
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Statistician.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications:
• At least an Honors Degree in Bachelor of Statistics or Bachelor of Science Quantitative Economics, Statistics & Economics, Mathematics & Economics, and Bachelor of Demography or Population Studies; OR
• A Masters Degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics or Population Studies for candidates with a Bachelor's of Science Degree majoring in Mathematics with Education.
• Should have obtained at least a Credit in Mathematics and English at O' Level;
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Statistical packages is a must.

Professional Membership

• Membership to the Uganda Statistical Society is a must.

Experience:
• Detailed knowledge of statistical data and information sources within the public and private domain.

JOB PURPOSE
To participate in saving life and minimizing damage to property in the event of aircraft/ non-aircraft accidents or disasters on and off airport.

Operational Efficiency
• Promote safe working practices as per the safety policy and safe systems of work.
• Maintain operational competency through participation in RFFS maintenance of competency programs.
• Drive and operate all fire vehicles and associated equipment.
• Administer/provide first aid treatment as necessary.
• Render assistance at non-flying accidents and incidents within and outside the airport boundaries as permitted by operations.
• Provide fire cover for aircraft engine starts, and other special service requests
• Carry out vehicle daily inspections as laid down in the airport fire service policy.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all fire vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the fire station and its environs.
• Undertake watch room duties and maintain the watch log.
• Liaise with air traffic control to ensure that safe operations are maintained within the maneuvering
• areas and movement areas.
• Participate in drills and exercises both locally and those involving outside emergency services.
• Check the serviceability of airport hydrants, fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers and report their serviceability state as required.
• Carry out serviceability checks off and operate all equipment associated with the RFFS operations.
• Undertake any other duties of a similar responsibility level commensurate to the role as may be prescribed from time to time.
• Undertake extraneous duties commensurate to the role as described by the Supervisor.

• Comply with RFFS policy and procedures.
• Act to eliminate or reduce risks associated with the RFFS functions.
• Ensure operational requests are promptly and safely dealt with.
• Ensure RFFS extraneous duties are conducted to the highest possible standards, thus safeguarding the aerodrome and operations.

Work closely with fire station personnel and other airport staff
Liaise with fire supervisory staff, other airport departments, and airport operating companies, internal and external customers.

Qualifications/ Requirements
• A- Level Certificate with at least two principal passes and five credits at OLevel of which two must be in English and Mathematics.
• Must be proficient in Computer applications.
• Must have ability to drive and in possession of a valid driving permit.
• Qualifications in any of the following: Firefighting, Emergency First Response, Open Water Life Saving, Diving, Nursing and Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Must have effective customer service techniques and knowledge on the aviation industry development and trends.
• Knowledge and understanding of airport safety requirements and practices, relevant aviation laws, ICAO standards and CAA regulations.
• Must pass the RFFS Physical and Medical Fitness Tests.
• Must have proven ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions.
• Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication and public relations skills.
• Must be between 22 and 30 years of age.

JOB PURPOSE
To Marshall Aircraft in conformity with ICAO SARPS which is in line with CAA mission statement

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Marshaling and parking aircraft

• Ensures effective planning of available space to maximize its usage for parking aircraft.
• To allocate aircraft parking bays and inform:
a) ATCs
b) Handling agents
c) Airline representative
• Inspect aircraft parking bay prior to aircraft arrival to ensure the bay is free of FOD.
• Provide marshaling and Follow Me services at all parking stands, ensuring safe and expeditious practices for aircraft entry into and exit from the apron, loading and unloading of passengers, baggage, mail and cargo, fueling, etc.
• Control aircraft engine run-up and aircraft towing.
• Co-ordinate aircraft engine start-up and push back with ATC.
• Ensure general cleanliness of movement areas and co-ordinate with personnel in the Bird Hazard Control Unit, Engineering Department, and the airside-cleaning contractor.
• Liaises with ground handling agents and other parties to determine appropriate allocation of aircraft parking position for each aircraft.
• Maintain up-to-date records of aircraft movements, incidents/accidents, and other airside activities.
• Safe docking of passenger boarding bridge onto the aircraft.

Coordinating with other agencies
• Liaise with other agencies such as Security, Oil companies, Customs, Immigration, ATC, in all matters pertaining to facilitation and enhanced flight operations by sharing authorized information in properly agreed procedure.
• Co-ordinate assistance in the event of aircraft emergency and other safety matter.


Enforcing regulations
• Enforce airside regulation in respect of vehicle/equipment and personnel movements on the airside.


Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Perform other duties, as may be assigned/ required by the authority.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University. OR
• Diploma in Social Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have been an Aircraft Marshaller for a minimum of 3 years.
• Must have the ability to work and coordinate with teams.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers.
• Should be between 25 to 35 years of Age.
• Training in people skills and leadership and airport operations

The Environment and Safety Supervisor will ensure sound environment and safety management during company operations. He/She will be responsible for ensuring compliance with current legal requirements and best practice, ensuring risks are minimised and correct working practices maintained through an underpinning of culture and positive safety behaviours. The job holder will seek continuous improvement on occupational health, safety and environment practices for all parts of the respective business areas.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Implementing actions to deliver strategic Occupational Health, Safety and Sustainability plans.
• Work with site management teams to advise, plan and implement actions to improve working environment and people wellbeing on sites.
• Investigate and review of all accidents, incidents and Near Miss. Recommend improvement actions and records of them.
• Ensure that all suppliers and sub-contractors are properly assessed before inclusion on the Approved List and regular reviews take place with all sub-contractors.
• Support and assist on creating and providing trainings related with Environment, Occupational Health & Safety.
• Support the completion of Risk Assessments and ensure all employees and subcontractors are following work procedures
• Arrange and carry out audits and HSE inspections and make recommendations arising from inspections and monitor implementation.
• Support communication that rises HSE awareness, responsibility and change of culture in line with organization strategy.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related Science or Engineering field
• Professional qualification in safety and environment management such as NEBOSH certificate, ISO 45001 lead auditor and Diploma/certificate in Occupational Health & Safety

Skills and experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar role in a Construction industry or any other large scale infrastructure, mining or energy project.
• You need to be computer literate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
