JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
• Provide technical guidance in the planning and management ofall information systems, technology, system security and database integrity for afully integrated information services function.

Key Result Areas:
• Develop and monitor the implementation of a comprehensive digitaltransformation policy and system that supports the implementation of UCDA’sStrategic Plan objectives and service delivery.
• Plan, and oversee the development, installation, and support of sharedinformation systems and network support services across UCDA.
• Plan and budget for all UCDA’s ICT Infrastructure requirements, procurement ofICT related equipment, and supervise their installation and maintenance.
• Review the existing MIS, and formulate new and revised systems, anddetermine appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs, andenhance efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise in the planning, design, implementation, andmaintenance of a database management system, in order to optimizeperformance and interactivity.
• Develop, document, implement, test and review the Disaster Recovery Plan toensure business continuity.
• Manage the design, development and maintenance of UCDA’s website,monitor and control all social media platforms, and also support stakeholdersby running a help desk.
• Provide team leadership by building and maintaining a high performance andmotivated IT team.
• Build IT capacity within UCDA through training and awareness programs.
• Liaise with other IT regulatory bodies like NITA-Uganda, Ministry of ICT, and otherIT professional organizations on any ICT related matters to ensure compliance.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Education:
• A Master’s Degree in either Computer Science, or Information Technology, orComputer Engineering, or any other related University Degree from arecognized University or Institution.
• An Honors degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology, orComputer Engineering, or any other related University Degree from arecognized University or Institution.
• Membership of or accreditation to an internationally recognized professionalbody in ICT will be added advantage.

Minimum Experience
• At least five years’ working experience in designing and implementing digitalsystems or MIS / ICT systems, three (3) years of which should have been at amanagement level in a reputable organization.

Expected Personal Competences And Skills
• Knowledge of Government digital transformation programmes, ITguidelines and standards.
• Skills in database planning and management, System installation andmanagement, Network design, management and security;
• Knowledge of current technological developments/trends.
• Key personal competences in teamwork and communication skills;
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures,formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategiesand procedures.

Reports to: Head, IT
Job Purpose
To provide overall strategic leadership in the planning, implementation and integration of cross-functional IT projects as well as ensuring technical oversight & delivery of the different IT projects components within approved budgets and in line with Equity Bank's business requirements.

Desired knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related qualification.
• Professional qualifications such CAPM and/or PMP is required.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in IT Service Delivery, 3 of which must be in Project Cycle Management for Financial Services or an ICT solution Provider.
• Experience in Software development with project-based focus and experience working with IT teams
• Strong follow-up and relationship management skills; ability to organize applicable project timelines and follow up with internal & external stakeholder requirements as needed.
• Ability to develop budgets and formulate new cost-effective strategies and technical approaches on IT project management.
